Really wonderful website with lots of video to view. Some really nice video footage is available with interviews and performance clips. Audio/Video quality is fantastic!
Beautiful selection of ballet video clips are located on the National Ballet Sofia website, some even as long as 37:00 minutes in length. You might be prompted to install an add-on called "Windows Media Core" in order to watch the videos, we did when we tried. Audio and video quality is excellent and the video clips load pretty quick.
Nice website with a HUGE collection of video to watch. Most video clips are encoded in RealPlayer .rm format. Audio and Video quality on most clips is good. Most text on this site is in French.

Really fantastic website featuring a ton of not-to-miss video interviews with choreographers, luminaries, and dancers. From the home page simply navigate to the section titled Video and you will see what they have to offer. Most video is encoded for use with Apple Quicktime Player.
Located on the Shanghai Ballet's website are some really high quality video clips featuring segments of the company's performances. All are encoded in .wmv for use with Windows Media Player and all have great audio/video quality. However, the server that these videos are hosted on is a bit slow and the file sizes are very large, sometimes as a much as 50MB per file so the download times will take a while. Be patient when downloading files off of the Shanghai Ballet's website, they are well worth the wait.

Located on Videobalet.net are some of the best classical ballet videos we have seen online in a long time. The download times will vary because some of these video clips are large in size but ALL are well worth the wait. The website VideoBalet.net is all in Russian with no other language version available. From the home page simply click on any of the text to be taken to the sub category video clip listings. All video is MPEG so a variety of players will work, we suggest the Windows Media Player.
There are a few video clips located on the DeAnima Contemporary Ballet website to download and view. Videos are offered in .wmv format for use with Windows Media Player. All video is offered with superb audio/video
quality. From the home page simply click on Repertorio to visit the download page(s).

Located on DanceBreak.org's website are some really great promotional video clips from DanceBreak’s past showcases. You will be able to view the 2002, 2003, and 2004 reels. Commentary from past and
present choreographers as well as dance segments from the showcases make these video clips a MUST SEE!

OK, so this is not really that new but if you have not seen this Fat Boy Slim “Weapon of Choice” video featuring dancing by Christopher Walken it is hilarious and a MUST SEE! The video is 3 and a half minutes long and is offered at variable bit rates encoded in both Real Player and Windows Media formats. If you are using a high speed Internet connection may we recommend the 300K option for superior audio/video quality. Maybe some day Christopher Walken will put on a pair of tights and dance, we can only hope.
This is one of the finest ballet company web sites we have found on the Internet featuring indexed video clips highlighting specific company dancers performing the company's vast repertoire. The site layout and navigation is a breeze and available in two languages. To view the video you will need to navigate to Dutch National Ballet then click dancers, from there, click on Soloists or Principals to view the video clips. Separate video clips are available for each dancer in these categories. Video is encoded in .wmv format for use with Windows(R) Media Player. This is one of the very few websites we have found that use the MP4 encryption format. There are three video clips located on this web page, you must scroll down to the middle of the page to find the links. All video is encoded in Windows(R) Media Player format and there is no variable bit rate option offered. Audio and Video quality is good but when we tried to view these video clips the images and sound streamed with some lag. Our best advice is to either pause the video as it begins to load and wait a minute or two before trying to play it or if you are using a PC, simply right click the links and and use the "Save Target As" option to save the file directly to your hard drive for later uninterrupted viewing.
