Q - What is the Elitedance Broadcast Network's purpose, I don't understand?
A - "The textbook answer" The Elitedance Broadcast Network was founded in 1998 to serve as a platform for existing dance companies to broaden their exposure across a global audience on the Internet through the primary use of digital media.
A - "The layman definition" We offer video clips of repertoire from dance companies so that people can watch it on the Internet, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, from anywhere in the world.
Q - I have a question/idea/suggestion, how do I contact the administrators of the Elitedance Broadcast Network?
Q - Who owns and operates the Elitedance Broadcast Network?
A - Elitedance Artists Management handles everything related to the Elitedance Broadcast Network and that organization is run by Todd Fox and Raymond Rodriguez.
Q - Do you sell DVD and VHS copies of famous or well known dance recordings?
A - Not unless we created it or have enetered into a partnership with the distribution company. If you are looking for previously recorded video you might want to try and do a search on a major search engine.
Q - Where are the dance related video clips located?
A - Simply navigate to the "Video" tab located at the top of all our pages on this website. Or, we offer a Dance Video Search Engine that you can visit by clicking here .
Q - What are the most ideal settings for optimal viewing of this website and video clips?
A - It is recommended that you use Internet Explorer, have your screen resolution set to 1024 X 768, be operating on a high-speed or broadband Internet connection, and have Flash Player installed on your computer.
Q - My favorite dance company is not listed? Why?
A - We try to solicit as many dance companies as possible to join our member organization program, trust us when we say, they were contacted, probably more than once. Unfortunately, not all dance companies want to have video clips of their repertoire featured on the Internet. As the popularity of dance related video on the Internet grows and dance companies together with their labor organizations finally realize the many benefits of collective broadcast exposure so will our pool of member organizations. If you do not see your favorite dance company listed on Elitedance we encourage you to contact their representatives and let them know that they should join our member organization program.
Q - I operate a dance company and want to take part in your member organization program, how do I go about that?
A - Simply e-mail us and let us know who you are and what dance company you operate/represent/work for and the best way to get back in touch with you.
Q - I do not like your "rating" system used in the links section, I think it is silly, why do you rate websites?
A - Certain categories of our link sections are in fact "rated". We do this for a number of reasons, primarily, so that viewers do not waste their time visiting a website that is not the most relevant. Additional reasons include, pay or subscription based websites which we do not normally link to, outdated or infrequently updated websites, websites that contain objectionable or potentially inappropriate material, or websites that we just don't like.
Q - I am operating on a dial-up modem can I still view the video clips?
A - Yes you can but your download times will take longer and audio/video quality will not be that good. If you are having trouble downloading and viewing dance related video clips on your dial-up connection you might want to try and visit a local library or Internet cafe that offers rental or free usage of broadband Internet access.
Q - Why isn't my dance related website in your links section? Can you add it for me?
A - There are thousands of links to dance related websites on the Internet and that list changes weekly. It is impossible to keep up with all new dance related websites so if you do not see your dance related website listed in our links database feel free to contact us and we will be happy to add your link provided you supply a reciprocal link to us on your website. Please DO NOT contact us and request special arrangements for link exchanges based on what you think the current algorythms SEO practices of Google, Yahoo, and other major search engines on the Internet might be. We offer free text based link exchanges to other dance related sites and that is it. If you have some sort of scheme you want to put into place with yours and our website which requires more than placing a reciprocal link in our links section then there will be a fee involved. Our best advice if you are wanting to try something like this is just pay the money and advertise on one of the major search engines.
Q - Can you circulate and cross post a press release for me?
A - We sure can, in fact, it is something that we specialize in. Our network is set up so that we can easily circulate your press release among tens of thousands of targeted dance enthusiasts on the Internet in a very short period of time. If you are a member dance organization it costs you nothing. If you are not a member organization or if what you want circulated is of a commercial nature the fees will vary, if you are interested click here to e-mail us.
