CCDC has long been committed to dance education and development. Its Education and Outreach Department runs a very comprehensive programme. Each year, it produces 80 outreach performances, and devises special programmes to arouse public interest in contemporary arts. The school of CCDC provides a variety of highly popular dance courses, which attracts an annual attendance of over 30,000 people.

CCDC endeavours to rally the best Chinese talents to create dance out of the context of contemporary China. Since 1998, the Company embarked on its “China Development Programme”, to budding dance artists on the Mainland offering administrative and technical support. The Company also helps organising the annual Beijing Modern Dance Festival in May to encourage Chinese choreographers to venture into innovative creation.

CCDC is a registered charitable arts organisation in Hong Kong. Apart from the subsidy from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, the Company relies on the generous support from our sponsors and donors.
