Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico
Firmly established as the leading Hispanic classical ballet company in the U.S., Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico was dubbed "one of Puerto Rico's best kept secrets" by the New York Times after its mainland debut in 1990.

Founded in 1978 by former ballerina Lolita San Miguel, Ballet Concierto offers a signature style, polished technique and a distinctive repertory. The company excels in the classics as well as the many works it has commissioned from Hispanic choreographers.

Since 1980, Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico has presented four  seasons each year in San Juan, building a large and enthusiastic following on the island. In 1992, Fernando Bujones invited Ballet Concierto to perform with him for an additional season in Puerto Rico. Many of the company's productions have been broadcast on television including "The Nutcracker", "Giselle", "Romeo and Juliet", "Carmen" and "The Phantom of the Opera".
