The Elitedance Broaadcaast Network was created in 1998 by professional ballet dancers Todd Fox and Raymond Rodriguez. Earlier that same year the two founded Elitedance Artists Management an employment agency specializing in the representation of high profile guest artist ballet dancers. In an effort to help promote the guest artists represented by Elitedance Artists Management Fox and Rodriguez began to publish small 8 to 10 second video clips featuring their clients on the agency's website. The popularity of these tiny video clips was overwhelming and e-mails poured in from all over the world requesting actual footage of repertoire. It was at that point when Fox and Rodriguez realized the future potential of Internet based broadcast and its many benefits for dance companies. In their efforts to harness that potential Todd Fox and Raymond Rodriguez founded the Elitedance Broadcast Network to serve as a centralized network for dance companies to feature their own audio and video content.

Growth was slow in the beginning because at the time, 1998 - 2003, the concept of Internet based broadcast had not gained significant popularity due to the fact that broadband technology was not yet mainstream. However, Fox and Rodriguez foresaw that eventually broadband technology would become common place across the globe and as that concept grew, so would Elitedance.com. Today, broadband technology has indeed become mainstream and the majority of Internet users now enjoy a more on-demand experience when viewing digital media on the Internet.

Since its inception Elitedance.com has featured and promoted choreographic repertoire from over 40 dance companies spanning 6 continents. By forming strategic partnerships with related websites, schools, and dance companies around the world the network aims to keep its vast library of dance related audio and video content growing. At present, Elitedance.com is exclusively managed by Elitedance Artists Management which handles all operations related to the network.
